Policegirl on active duty

Meet my cheeky ‘lil Sophia Amani aka policegirl of da house...more specifically in da master bedroom!!! She started her rounds of duty during bedtime ONLY when Dada is home. She ensures that Momma sleeps on her side of the bed and Dada sleeps on his side of the bed. Her main job is to ensure Momma and Dada stay as far apart as possible. Physical contact is strictly prohibited during bedtime, lovey dovey acts dan yang sewaktu dengannya in particular.

And she takes her job very seriously indeed. Should Dada tried to cross over to Momma’s side for any reason whatsoever she would scream and pointed to Dada’s side of the bed, instructing him to return to his side. She wouldn’t stop screaming until everyone is back at the ‘correct’ place. Even hands are NOT allowed to cross over to the other side, funny eh?

Yesterday after my hubby came back from a short working trip in India, she was working overtime till 1.30am! It was like she could sense some abnormal phenomenon was about to take place that night. This is no joke ya’ll. She was trying all her best to keep Momma away from Dada. First, it was fun watching her rather strange behavior but when it kept going on and on till half past 1am exhausting us with her antics, my hubby raised his voice in his attempt to get her to sleep. It worked! She fell asleep while hugging me tightly on my chest. It was like she was saying – “Dada, you keep away from my Momma. Tonight, she’s all mine!” None of my other kids had done that at any age.

She has also started demonstrating serious sibling rivalry towards her only sister – throwing tantrums when her sister is sitting closer to Momma, Dada and even bibik, or when she senses her sister is getting more attention than her. She also cries her lung out when her sister gets to Momma or Dada first, or even when Nana gets into the car first and lots more lah. She has to come before her sister in all instances! I say this baby is growing up way too fast. She is acting beyond her age. Oh, she doesn’t hesitate to even whack her sister whenever she feels like it too!

I say Allah maha kaya, even when the kids are raised in the same environment by the same parents, eat the same food and expose to the same experiences, they have their own unique personality even at their tender age. I say nature triumphs over nurture hands down!
